In Rajya Sabha today, Goa Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar thanked (read taunted) Congress veteran leader Digvijay Singh.
He said that Digvijay Singh, who was in charge of Goa Congress, was roaming in Goa instead of working towards forming the government which gave me opportunity to form the government in Goa.
He further thanked Chairman, deputy chairman and members of this house for their support during his tenure as Defense Minister and invited them to Goa whenever they want to come.
Many Congress members, including Rajiv Gowda, Rajni Patil and Husain Dalwai even rushed to the Well of the House to protest against Parrikar.
The Congress won 17 seats in the February 4 state assembly elections and emerged as the single largest party, while the BJP won only 13 seats.
The BJP, however, managed to form a coalition government with support from Independent legislators and regional parties.
